BREAKFAST: Breakfast is typically served at 9, but guests who wish to dine earlier or later need only ask for a time change. Every effort will be made to accommodate your request. Breakfast is normally a hot, sit-down breakfast, except during the Saint James Court Art Show. On those days, a varying continental breakfast will be available for guests to partake of at their leisure.
CASH, CHECKS and CREDIT CARDS accepted: Before reserving online, however, please call or email the inn to learn about our 20%/5% discounts for paying with cash or checks, respectively. In appreciation for repeat guests, they will always be charged at the rate they originally paid; in other words, rate increases do not apply to repeat guests when they pay in cash. Also, active duty and retired military members and their spouses will receive another 10% off when they pay in cash.
CHECK-IN TIME: 3 PM to 9 PM, unless prior arrangements are made.
CHECK-OUT TIME: 11 AM, unless prior arrangements are made. This is an important deadline for the inn since the guest room might have to be cleaned and prepared for other guests who might be checking in as early as 3 PM that same day. Guests who overstay their normal or adjusted departure time can expect to incur an additional cost of $20.00 per 15 minute period, pro-rated.
CHILDREN: Only children 12 and older can be accommodated. Except for such special events as the Kentucky Derby, the parents of juvenile guests will be charged an additional $40/night/child. For Derby, children’s additional charge is $100/child/night.
DEPOSIT/CANCELLATION POLICY: Except for Kentucky Derby reservations, no deposits are required, and no cancellation fees are ever charged. No-shows, however, will be charged the full amount of their non-cancelled reservations, regardless of their reasons for failure to cancel.
DERBY/CANCELLATION POLICY: A $1000 check deposit is required to reserve each suite for the Kentucky Derby. There is a 3-night minimum and, in the event of cancellation for any reason, the deposit is 75% refundable ONLY IF the suite can be re-rented during Derby weekend.
KEY CHARGES: Un-returned/lost exterior door keys incur a re-keying charge of $200. The safety and security of guests is of paramount importance to us, and we cannot take a chance that an unaccounted-for key might fall into the wrong hands, hence our policy to have the locks re-keyed each time a key goes missing. Un-returned/lost guest room skeleton keys will incur an additional charge of $95/key, as these are not your usual door keys. Each one had to be created by a master locksmith. Please be careful not to lose track of these skeleton keys.
PETS: Guest pets are not permitted, however there are three dogs on the premises.
